Course numbers are limited to 12 in order to maintain our trainee:instructor ratio at 3:1. We have taught all levels, from foundation programme doctors, ophthalmology trainees, fellows and consultants from all over the UK and World wide.

The day begins with entertaining and informative lecture sessions, interspersed with a modelling scenario. The topics cover all levels, from anatomy to advanced surgical principles, and from basic technique through to complex case discussion. Our course is designed to provide exceptional learning for all stages.

After lunch, we spend time working in the wet lab, learning and practising surgical techniques. We use porcine eyes and heads due to the similarities with human anatomy.

During the day, all refreshments and lunch are provided. There is a friendly competition with prizes, and we supply a detailed handbook with all course lectures included, and pictorial guides to all the techniques being taught.
